Virtual Sidebar is a plugin by Christina Louise Warne (aka. AthenaOfDelphi). It is designed to allow users to include widgets in post content by way of ‘virtual’ sidebars. Each virtual sidebar can have widgets added to it using the widget manager and can then be included in a post using the short code [vs id= » »].

Installacion

Installing this plugin, is just like installing any other WordPress plugin.

  1. Download Virtual Sidebar
  2. Extract the /virtual-sidebar/ folder from the archive
  3. Upload this folder to ../wp-contents/plugins/
  4. Activate the plugin in Dashboard > Plugins
  5. Customize from the Plugins > Virtual Siderbar menu
