BoxedChat Integration is a lightweight WordPress plugin that allows you to embed BoxedChat workspace widgets directly on your WordPress site. With just one click, users are securely redirected to BoxedChat to authenticate and select a workspace – no passwords needed in WordPress!

Usage
Automatic Usage (Default):
Once you connect a workspace, the widget automatically appears in the footer of all pages.
With Shortcode (Optional):
[workspace_widget]
Custom height:
[workspace_widget height="800"]
Available Attributes:
– height – The height of the widget in pixels (default: 600, range: 300-2000)
Configuration
- Navigate to Settings > BoxedChat Integration in your WordPress admin panel
- Click « Connect to BoxedChat »
- Login to your BoxedChat account
- Select the workspace you want to embed
- Set the widget height (optional, default is 600px)
- Click « Save Changes »

- Upload the
workspace-widgetfolder to/wp-content/plugins/ - Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress
- Go to Settings > Workspace Widget to connect your BoxedChat account
- Click « Connect to BoxedChat » and follow the OAuth flow
- Select a workspace to embed on your site
- Done! The widget automatically appears on all pages

Q: Will my credentials be stored in WordPress?

A: No! The plugin uses OAuth authentication. You login directly to BoxedChat, and the plugin only stores an API key – your credentials never go through WordPress.

Q: Can I embed multiple widgets?

A: The plugin embeds one workspace widget by default. Use the shortcode
[workspace_widget]to add additional instances. -
Q: Does the widget work with WordPress multisite?

A: Yes, the plugin works with WordPress multisite installations. Each site can connect to a different BoxedChat workspace.
